These terms govern your use of the Solar Xtra website and any survey, quote, or installation work you agree to with us. By using our website or accepting a quote, you agree to the terms below. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Any price shown on our website, or given verbally before a site visit, is an estimate only. Your exact price is confirmed after a free, no-obligation site survey, which accounts for your property's specific roof, electrics, insulation, and usage pattern. A written quote issued following a survey remains valid for the period stated on that quote.
If you enter into a contract with us away from our business premises, for example at your home following a survey, you have the right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, without giving a reason.
If you ask us to begin work within the 14-day cooling-off period, you may lose your right to cancel once installation is underway or complete, and may be liable for costs incurred up to that point.
Payment terms, including any deposit and staged payments, are set out in your individual quote or contract. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking. Full payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Installation timescales given during your quote are estimates based on typical project scope. Actual timing can be affected by weather, DNO approval, equipment availability, or access to your property. We'll keep you informed of any changes to your scheduled installation date.
Where a grant such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) applies to your installation, we handle the application on your behalf. Eligibility is confirmed as part of your survey and is subject to the scheme's current rules at the time of application, which are set by the UK Government and may change. We cannot guarantee grant approval, as this rests with the scheme administrator.
Installations carried out by Solar Xtra include a workmanship warranty covering the quality of the installation itself. Panels, batteries, inverters, and heat pump units also carry separate manufacturer warranties, the length and terms of which vary by product and are provided to you at the point of installation.
We carry out all work to MCS standards and take reasonable care and skill in every installation. We are not liable for pre-existing issues with your property's structure or electrics that are identified during or after installation and were not reasonably foreseeable at the time of survey. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Content on this website, including text, images, and logos, belongs to Solar Xtra or is used with permission and may not be copied or reproduced without our consent. We aim to keep information on this site accurate and up to date, but it's provided for general guidance and doesn't replace a formal quote following a site survey.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of our website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
